BLIND GUARDIAN, SYMPHONY X Cancel San Diego Gig
December 15, 2002BLIND GUARDIAN and SYMPHONY X cancelled their scheduled Saturday, Dec. 14 appearance at the 4th and B in downtown San Diego, California.
An official statement on the cancellation has yet to be released, but according to management/public relations firm Desert Rock Promotions, who represent one of the designated openers for the show, CAGE, "the dreaded phone call was received at about 2:00 p.m. the day of the show by the venue manager, after it had been previously confirmed that the bands would show up to play the event."
CAGE and the other scheduled opener for the show, TEABAG (featuring ex-PSYCHOTIC WALTZ drummer Norm Leggio) reportedly went ahead and played a free show for 200+ metal fans from Southern California and Mexico who stayed behind to rock the night.
As previously reported, BLIND GUARDIAN cancelled their Friday, Dec. 13 appearance at The Pound in San Francisco, California after their rented bus broke down and could not be repaired in time for the band to make the gig.
